I recollect the very era this album takes me back to. I was exposed to major 7th chords for the first time around then, sensing something exciting about to happen. The first tune in this album literally makes me feel the breeze on my cheeks, exactly what I was feeling in those days. Nothing cynical is embedded in the sweet and well-looked-after harmony. bjcfan

I'm still a little blown away by the fact that one of my guitar influences released an instrumental guitar album on the same day as me and I didn't realize it.
But I've listened to it twice now and it gets better with every play.

Sonic Youth is one of those bands where you easily run out of superlatives to describe what they created. This could've easily come off as a cynical cash-grab by a band that had broken up 11 years prior to the release of this record, but that's not what this is. Some of my favourite Sonic Youth instrumentals. sentient meat
